
The Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2016 (Vietnam Foodexpo 2016) will take place from 16th - 19th of November in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is a large-scale event which is held annually to promote the strong brands, introduce new products, technologies, services… of Vietnam and invited countries in the field of food industry.

Since the agricultural did not develop in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), imported food plays a very important role, contributing to 70% of food needs. Thanks to widespread free trade, a large proportion of imported products (approximately 50%) and then continue to be re-exported to the GCC countries, including the countries of the Soviet Union, Indian Subcontinent and East Africa.

According to Canada’s Statistics agency, the Canada – Vietnam two-way trade increased sharply in the first nine months of 2015, reaching 2.815 billion USD, increase over the same period last year. Vietnam continued enjoying trade surplus with Canada.
